The ministry
A family calling, carried forward
The Singing Son Rays began in 1975 with Robyn's father, Robert Lee Kern. For fifty years this family has travelled to churches, revivals, camp meetings and outreach events, sharing a message of hope through music and the preached Word.
Today Robyn and her mother carry that calling together — still going where they are invited, still ministering in person, still believing that a congregation is best reached face to face.

Robyn ministers at Sunday services, revivals, conferences, camp meetings, women's events and outreach nights — in song, in preaching, or both. We travel by road from Okeechobee, Florida, and we go where we are invited.
There is no booking fee and no minimum church size. Small congregations are as welcome as large ones.

Making the arrangements
Every church handles guest ministry differently, and we are glad to work with whatever is normal for yours. Tell us how you usually do things when you write, and we will talk it through together well before the date — we would far rather settle it openly and early than leave anyone guessing.

About Robyn
First, I am a minister of the gospel, and I am in love with Jesus Christ.
Robyn Kern Spradlin is a third-generation minister whose life has been shaped by a family heritage of spiritual leadership. Ordained and travelling, she shares her message from pulpits, on the street, and online — always aiming to connect people with the transforming power of grace.
Alongside the ministry she writes for Christian news outlets and is the author of two books drawn from her own family's story.
